This is simply a form of art made on the human body. The commonly known forms of body art are piercings and tattoos. They are growing popular by the day. Its a rather unique trend as it has been in vogue for the longest time. With its popularity comes varied responses by both the individuals and the society.Personally,I am not for or against this trend. Tattooing in modern society exists in a state of complexity. Everyone seems to have a view or two about it.Art,attraction, inspiration, memory, deviance and more are reasons many opt to get inked. What people don’t know is that they have a wide range of cultural, historical, and personal meanings. They are often linked to psychiatric disorders, personality mishap, drug and substance abuse. It has really created a wall between attraction and rejection.

Specialists have termed it as an act of personal adventure;as opposed to the prospect of ‘gangsta’life, individuals with tattoos report that they feel more attractive, stronger and more self confident—having overcome the fear of pain.Body art not only encourages a level of deep thinking about personal values and ideals, but also unites groups of people under intentional, positive messages. To the other side of the coin, they could also be a sign of a growing psychiatric disorders like ADHD,depression and many esteem related disorders. They tend to search for the sense of control over themselves.Tattoos are a way they take ownership of their body and express personal ideals. These are just a few stated psychological pros and cons of body art.

Tattooing is one of the greatest human artistic expressions. The aspect of art is a broad field and has continued to evolve over the years. This creative process has seen the incorporation of body prints and art.Now reactions of surprise or shock have been replaced by a critical evaluation of the art and pure aestheticism.

Beauty in things exists in the mind which contemplates them. The complexity in the way people perceive body art remains, all you have to do is think through your intention before making a lifelong inscription.
